Although the original San Simeon Pier was built in 1878 for commercial purposes, the pier you see today was first constructed in 1957, strictly as a recreational pier. This pier sits a few hundred yards south of where the original pier was located. This photo was taken not long after the pier had a major renovation in 2024.
