Scorpius over the Grover Train Station

The Grover Beach Train Station officially opened on November 10, 1996. This passenger rail station in the City of Grover Beach is served by the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains which run from San Luis Obispo to San Diego.

This photo was taken on February 18, 2011 around 3:30 am. The constellation of scorpius can be seen in the sky above the station, in the southern sky.

I used a technique called High Dynamic Range, (HDR), photography to capture this image using multiple captures at various exposure values. I also processed the image as color only for the walls of the station, with black and white everywhere else.
